Bangalore, officially known as Bengaluru is the capital city of the Indian state of Karnataka. Located on the in the south-eastern part of Karnataka, Bangalore is India’s third most populous city and fifth-most populous urban agglomeration. Bangalore is known as the “Silicon Valley of India” because of its role as the nation’s leading information technology (IT) exporter. Located at a height of over 3,000 feet (914.4 m) above sea level, Bangalore is known for its pleasant climate throughout the year. The city is amongst the top ten preferred entrepreneurial locations in the world.

HOW TO REACH

By Air:-
You can reach Bangalore via air at Bangalore International Airport which is located at a distance of 40 km from the city. From here you can take prepaid taxi services and bus services to reach the city. Many national and international flights lands on this airport making approachability of the city easy.

By Road:-
Bangalore city is connected via major national highways which connects various other cities to it. Buses from neighboring state run on regular bases to Bangalore and Bangalore bus stand also runs various buses to major cities of South India.

By Train:-
Bangalore railway station is located in the heart of the city. Various trains from all over India come to Bangalore which includes Mysore express from Chennai, Karnataka Express from Delhi and Udyan express from Mumbai which covers many major cities in between. How to reach Bangalore becomes easy by these ways.

WHAT TO SEE

Bannerghatta National Park:-

Bannerghatta National ParkLocated 22 kilometers (14 miles) from Bangalore, this beautiful national park is home to one of the richest natural zoological reserves, with 10 reserve forests within its boundaries. It’s situated in picturesque surroundings and has a wide variety of fauna. Among the attractions are the crocodiles, picnic corner, a serpentarium, pets corner, and lion safari. The Butterfly Park here is the first one in India. Elephant rides are also possible, usually on weekends.

 

 

 

Dodda Alada Mara:-

Dodda Alada MaraDodda Alada Mara is a big banyan tree, located 28 kilometers (17 miles) from Bangalore at Ramohalli. This gigantic tree is assumed to be 400 years old, sprawling over 3 acres.

 

 

 

 

 

Neeladri Amusement Park:-

Muthyalamaduvu:-

MuthyalamaduvuThis famous picnic spot, 40 kilometers (25 miles) from Bangalore in Anekal, has an enchanting waterfall and a small temple. It’s also known as Pearl Valley. Muthyalu means “pearls” and maduvu means “pond” or “pool” in Kannada, the local language of Karnataka.

 

 

 

 

Ramanagaram:-

Shivaganga:-

ShivagangaShivaganga, located 56 kilometers (35 miles) from Bangalore is an interesting hill with four faces and a height of 4,600 feet. It’s also known as Dakshin Kashi. The hill looks like a Nandi from the east, Ganesh from the west, a linga from the south, and cobra with its hood spread from the north side. The hill has two famous shrines, dedicated to Lord Gangadeshwara and Goddess Honnadevi, and a fresh water spring called Pathala Ganga.

 

 

 

Savandurga:-

SavandurgaSituated 60 kilometers (37 miles) from Bangalore, this place is famous for the Savandurga Hill and the temple. Savandurga is formed by two hills known locally as Karigudda (black hill) and Biligudda (white hill). It’s believed to be one of the largest monolith hills in the world.

The masala dosa – rice pancake smeared with red chilli chutney and stuffed with potato curry, ‘set dosa’ – 3 medium sized dosas, ‘benne masalae’ – thick rice pancake prepared with butter – are some of the local favourites and few stake the origin of these dishes from Bangalore. Bisi bele bath, Rava idli, Pongal, the spicy Uppittu – served as Khara Bath in most of the restaurants are some of the other local favourites.
